Brushing your teeth is one of the most important tasks in your day, it has numerous benefits, it keeps your teeth clean and free of plaque, helps keep your teeth white, can help keep your breath fresh and it can just give you a fresh and clean feeling in the morning. I’ve used many different types of toothbrushes over the years but I have settled on Electric Toothbrushes as I feel that they do a more thorough job. Braun is the brand I have been using for years, this is the one I use on the right, they have a range of models and toothbrush heads that vary pretty dramatically in price. Mine is just from our local supermarket and it has served me very well.
I’ll go into a few benefits of electric toothbrushes and why I think you should switch to one as soon as you can! With the rotating motion of an electric toothbrushes head it can reach hard to reach places with ease, it can get itself easily between your teeth and push the food particles out. Using a normal toothbrush can make it hard to brush as thoroughly as we would like to. I also find that an electric toothbrush makes for longer, more thorough teeth brushing. The toothbrush I use myself has a timer on it and it lets me know when I am done brushing. I try to get a good portion of time done on each side of my mouth both top and bottom.
I used to have some issues with bad breath but after using my electric toothbrush regularly it has become much less of a problem, I find I can just get a much better clean when using an electric. The movements per minute when using an electric toothbrush is obviously much higher, according to the website for Oral-B an electric toothbrush can do up to 48,800 movements per minute while regular brushing can only deliver between 300 to 600 movements per minute. This is a huge difference!
Overall I have had great success when using this toothbrush for the past 5 or so years. I have only had to replace the unit once (I use mine in the shower with no issues) and the replaceable brushes last for a quite a long time. I have been lucky to never require a filling or dental work throughout my life and I am sure I can credit some of that to my usage of an electric toothbrush over a vast period of my life.
I would definitely recommend an electric toothbrush to any person who was wondering whether to switch!
